Part 2 My Beginning In Yarn Art

Happy March 2026! This is Part 2 of my journey into seriously pursuing crocheting and knitting. Reflecting on that time, it coincided with the arrival of nieces' and nephews' babies. I decided to create handmade heirloom gifts that could be passed down to future siblings.

When the parents asked for baby layettes, I appreciated my brother who purchased three sets at once. At that time, my layettes comprised a newborn dress, a toddler dress, a loom-knitted infant blanket, knitted mittens, socks, and beanies. I even ventured to crochet a pair of sandals. For the baby boys, some layettes featured a cocoon, an infant-sized blanket, crochet pants, a crochet bib with feeding spoons, a beanie, mittens, and a pair of socks. Take a look at the video below:
